Nike Air Max Day is an annual celebration that takes place on March 26th to commemorate the release of the first Nike Air Max sneaker, the Air Max 1, which was designed by Tinker Hatfield and released on March 26, 1987. The Air Max line is known for its visible air cushioning units. It's important to mention that the initial response to these visible air units was varied. Upon their introduction, some individuals were skeptical of the air units, as they deviated from conventional sneaker designs.
I took the Air Max in the beloved red colorway and created promotional material.
“I once owned a tennis ball green pair of Air Max 1’s that I loved. I wore down the outsole to the point of having a hole in the forefoot and I still did not want to get rid of them. It blows people’s mind when I share that I used to go trail running in them. They were so comfortable. haha.”
